Finding Hope

There is a beautiful video clip on LDS.ORG done in memory of the 9/11 disaster. You'll see it right on the home page. It's called Finding Hope, and lasts about 8 minutes--a story of how one man quietly changed his life because he survived.

School Starts

I go back to teaching school tomorrow morning. I am excited! In my mind I've been going over the names and faces of the kids, and I'm anxious to see them. While trying to find graphics for the walls of my school room, I looked up a bunch of sayings about music. I found one by Ronald Reagan that I really, really liked, and agreed with completely:

Life is one grand, sweet song, so start the music.

Soggy Missionaries

This is an excerpt from an email we received from Billy about two weeks ago. They'd had a rough week with no baptisms--people backing out at the last minute.

yesterday it rained all day. its still raining now. so last night we were walking home from our last appt, all 4 of us (e. l. silva, elder r. lima, e. bauer, and me) and since we were all already soaked, i decided to screw around a little, i waited till they were all close to me and i jumped in a freakin huge puddle and soaked all of them. then everyone went crazy and we started splashin each other and jumpin around and runnin all through the street. ha ha it was so fun, and we all got home drenched. but it was exactly what i needed to make me happy again after not baptizin and all. then we made some oatmeal, haha cause i got the package yesterday, (thanks mom!)
