Kitchen Floor

We have a new kitchen floor! It still has grout scum on it--I haven't done the final ammonia-based scrub job--but it sure looks nice. Very classy. John and I chose the tile, John suggested the pattern, and Rob did the dirty work while John was with the Young Men on a bike trip in Moab. Melody and I helped a little as we pulled nails out of the subfloor.

Sarah Anne has announced that she and Nathaniel are expecting their first baby in late October! We love new babies!

Comic Math

Here is a comic I've had mounted on my fridge for the past while. However, since newsprint yellows and deteriorates too fast, I decided to preserve this one for posterity. Especially since it is a total depiction of the way my mind handles math.**

Photo Shoot

Kathy invited me to come with her to get the girls' pictures taken. I didn't think I would be allowed to take my own pictures in the photo studio, so I refrained. (Bet you didn't think I was capable, huh!) I did take a couple of pictures of Seda at lunch, though. And I'm adding a cute one of Abigail that I took a while back.

Easter Celebrations

Our family gathered at Rob and Sarah's house for breakfast and an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Sarah Emily was the only one with her camera, so we all have the same pictures on our blogs...TOO BAD! John and Melo 'hid' the plastic eggs all around the yard, and we turned the kids loose. Lincoln knew what to do, but he wanted the blue eggs the most, so he would often pass right by the other colors, so the girls were able to find some, too. We put out 42 eggs, and Rob said, only half joking, "So means 30 for Lincoln, and 6 each for the girls! The adult helpers made sure the eggs were distributed evenly, and there were plenty for each child.
